KINSHASA, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) . Eight people, including seven spectators and a policeman, were killed in a stampede that occurred Saturday night during a concert in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Kinshasa’s police chief said Sunday.

Eight people were killed, including a policeman, in a stampede during the concert by the Congolese singer Fally Ipupa at the Martyrs stadium, said Kinshasa’s police chief General Sylvain Kasongo.

With a capacity of 80,000 seats, the stadium was fully packed, according to eyewitnesses.
