Kathmandu : The district election office (DEO) here has made preparations to accord special priority to the people with disabilities and senior citizens for voting to the election of House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly on Sunday.
The voting officer of 829 polling centres have begun managerial works including meeting with political parties and setting up booths in order to hold the election in a free, fair and safe atmosphere, according to Information Officer at DEO, Hem Budhathoki.
They had made arrangements to facilitate the PWDs and senior citizens. For the visually impaired ones, the election publicity materials are pasted at voting centre and assistant to them managed.
The DEO Morang on Friday directed the voting officers and staffs to monitor 50 polling centres under the constituency 6 and conduct election in a peaceful atmosphere.
